As you may be aware, iOS8 and OS X Yosemite have some serious Bluetooth connectivity problems as mentioned around the web:
Step 1 to try resolve the issue - turn Airplane mode on, wait 10 seconds, then turn it off on your iOS device.
Step 2 to try resolve the issue - turn your iOS device off and on again.
These solve 90% of the problems - which unfortunately means we need Apple to fix them permanently.
As a result of this and Yosemite not being able to maintain a connection to iPhone once it has been paired, a lot of folks are having issues with TokenLock. Bluetooth range will be fixed by the end of October with an update that is already waiting for review by Apple.
To try mitigate the issues you may crank up the Bluetooth timeout to 12 seconds (12,000 milliseconds) and the retries to 3 or 5.
This will slow the locking of your mac, but reduce false locks.
Once iOS8.1 is out and once Yosemite gets a little more stable, TokenLock issues should smooth out and you should be able to reduce those numbers back down again.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but these things are out of our control right now :-/
