Updating your Poly to the latest Firmware Version

In order to download the latest firmware, your Poly needs to be connected to the internet. This can be achieved in two ways - having Poly connected to your home network or having it connected to your phone's hotspot.

Finding your current version

To find the current version on your Poly, you need to have it in HotSpot mode. Hotspot mode is when the Poluy Status (p.status) light is flashing blue and green. Power your Poly up and wait for the P.Status light to come on. It will be in one of 3 modes:

Flashing blue/green - Hotspot mode, you can move to the next step.

Solid color - you need to push a the configuration tool into the small config hole and hold it pressed for about 8-10 seconds. Poly will reboot into the flashing green/blue hotpot mode.

Flashing single color - you need to push a the configuration tool into the small config hole and hold it pressed for about 8-10 seconds. Poly will reboot into the flashing green/blue hotpot mode. You will also have to then configure your home network or phone hotspot to get Poly connected to the internet first.

Now, on your phone, tablet or computer go into your WiFi settings and select the Poly-nnnnnnnn network - this is the hotspot Poly is cresting.

You will then see the poly setup screen, or you may have to open a browser to type http://www.poly.audio in the address bar to see the setup screen.

Now, at the very bottom of the screen you will see your Poly firmware version.

Step by step upgrade guide

  1. Turn on your Poly, and make sure it is connected to a network - the P-Status light should be solid. If its flashing green/blue use the config tool and press it into the config hole for 8 seconds to switch modes. If its flashing solid, Poly cant find a wifi network to connect to and you may need to go back onto hotspot mode and set it up for your WiFi.
  2. Wait 20 minutes. Have a cup of tea.
  3. Turn off your Poly bu turning off your connected Mojo and disconnecting a charger if you have it plugged in.
  4. Turn the poly back on again by turning on Mojo.
  5. Switch back to Hotspot mode by using the config tool and press it into the config hole for 8 seconds to switch modes.
  6. Connect tot he Poly-nnnnnnn network, open a browser to visit http://www.poly.audio in order check firmware version at the borrow of the page. If youre not on the latest, rinse and repeat these steps.
